News

The season finale had not started and already the silly season is in full swing. What we know is that Spencer Pigot has been confirmed for the 21 car at Ed Carpenter Racing for 2019. We know that Sebastian Bourdais is staying with Dale Coyne Racing. We know that Takuma Sato will be with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing through 2019.

What we don’t know is the continued rumors of the Steinbrenner/Harding/Andretti Autosport team. Michael Andretti was interviewed during the Sonoma Grand Prix and downplayed Andretti Autosport’s involvement.

We’re going to be doing a monthly Silly Season rundown during the off season during our episodes. Look for that during the beginning of the month, we’ll let you know news in each episode, but these episodes will be a deeper dive into the news and what implications they have as we look to the 2019 season.

Sonoma

The series crowned Scott Dixon as the champion, but the race was won by Ryan Hunter-Reay. With Julianna Meyers joining Molly the practice sessions, qualifications, race, and drivers are broken down. You can find Molly’s breakdown of the race on her blog.

This is not Ryan Hunter-Reay following his win at Sonoma…this is at the Portland Podium
